LXNY Free Software Workshops

The Three Jewels Refuge moved.
LXNY is holding Free Software Workshops. These will be small meetings, featuring Installation assistance and special topics. The early meetings are focused on the LISP programming language and environment. Computers are available and Internet access is present.

Revolution OS has appeared on the cable television Sundance Channel

J.T.S. Moore's 35mm wide screen documentary theatrical motion picture about the Free Software Movement. It focuses on the rise of VA Research and on the Northern California scene. It includes scenes of an Installfest, the LinuxWorld Expo, Microsoft Refund Day, and The Free Software Song. Interviews and biographical subjects include: Larry Augustin, Richard M. Stallman, Linus Torvalds, Bruce Perens, Eric S. Raymond.

"CeBIT America is a tradeshow and conference strictly for business. Our exhibitors and conference program focus on technology solutions for the corporate market."

Tech Corps will have a program of special events for volunteering for Education.

The Business Council for the United Nations will present a program including some "Open Source" panels, including Jon "maddog" Hall and use of free software by Latin American governments.

"There will be a free shuttle Van operating on Saturday between the NJ Transit Railroad Station in Metuchen, NJ and the Festival. The first shuttle will leave the train station at 9:00 AM and the last will leave the Festival at 4:30 PM. The Van will be on the Trenton bound side of the Railroad Station and will return from directly in front of the Expo Center. Service will run HOURLY in each direction ( :00 to show, :30 from show). The van will be operating on Saturday ONLY!"
